Welcome to St Charles United Methodist ChurchIf you are looking for a church home where you can make new friends and visit with old ones; a place where you can use your talents and abilities to serve one another; a place where you can find out just how much God loves you; then St. Charles United Methodist Church is what you have been looking for. We are a friendly, diverse and very casual congregation where you will fit in, no matter who you are and where you have been. Join us at one of our morning worship services with excellent music and relevant preaching and where we are glad to provide a professional and caring nursery for all our worship services. Sunday Worship ServicesNormally, the church provides two church services every Sunday. The contemporary service is at 8:30 am and the traditional service with choir is at 11:00 am. In between these two services we hold Sunday school for children and adults starting at 9:45 am. In addition to the nursery for infants, we hold a church school for the smaller children. Bring your preschoolers to the service with you and after the children's sermon they will be escorted to class. Dress varies widely from wearing jeans to suits. On the first Sunday of each month we usually hold our Communion service. All believers in Christ are invited to take Communion.

Nursery:
A nursery is available during Sunday morning worship, during Sunday School, on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and on Wednesday evenings for Choir Rehearsal (7:00 to 8:00 p.m.). The nursery is staffed by two loving women who are happy to care for your little ones through 4 years of age. Our nursery is in the Main Building, down the hall from the church office.
WEDNESSDAY CLASSES:
Ironmen: The Ironmen are starting a new class based on the book by Max Lucado, “Fearless”. They meet at 6:00 a.m. in the Prayer Room each week.
Evenings:
Children's Class: We are seeking volunteers for Pre-K & 6-8 yr olds to assist with the new programs!!! If you are interested, please call Raina at the church office.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: If your Birthday is in January, Family Fellowship would like you to join us for a complementary dinner on Wednesday, January 25th at 5:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. We will invite all members that have a birthday in that month to join us for a complementary meal the last Wednesday of each month.
CONSECRATION SUNDAY: Our Stewardship Campaign for 2012 will be celebrated on Sunday February 12th at 12:00 p.m. with a catered lunch following the worship service. All are welcome to attend. If you have not turned in your pledge card for 2012, there are cards available in the narthex. Please turn in your card s in the offering plate or to Dan McNeill.
MINISTRY FAIR: Sunday, January 29th at 9:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. – 12:15 p.m.
Scrip = Gift Certificates = Free Money for Your Church: Now that the new year is with us you can make a new year's resolution that will help your church! USE SCRIP! When you purchase gift certificates to use for yourself or to give as gifts you are also giving the church some of the money that would be going to the retailers. You can purchase hundreds of vendors including department stores, restaurants, rent a car places, cruises, hotels and more. Stop by the church office to pick up a complete list of vendors.
We will continue to keep plenty of items in stock but with your help we can get back to the normal stock..... also remember Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Anything that has to be ordered comes in within a week so please think ahead!! Orders can also be e-mailed to Beronco@hotmail.com so that they will be ready when you come by. Also don't hesitate to call for things you need at the last minute 985-764-8386.
Dinner for 8-ish is back!!: We will be having signups for Dinner for Eight-ish from now until February 15th. This is a time when 7-9 people will gather in a home to share dinner. It is great to get to know people over dinner. You will be assigned a group to be your Dinner Partners. The first person on the list will host the first meal. that person will provide the main dish and drinks while the others will bring an appetizer, salad or side dish and dessert. Each month you will rotate to the next person on the list becoming the host and the others bringing the other fixings. Please sign up at the secretary's desk, at Wednesday Night Dinner or by e-mailing Beronco@hotmail.com. The list will be finalized and handed out by the end of February.
